The eggs are beautiful and taste delicious! Yvette and Keith are extremely nice and transparent. Store bought eggs do not compare after we tasted these flavorful eggs.

I really loved the eggs we got. They made lovely omelets. I wish that I could make it to the terrarium classes but they’re during my school day. Overall pretty good eggs!

Alora's eggs are so fresh and delicious. My daughter has been using them for baking, and my children are requesting eggs every morning, even before school! They're waking up early so they can have their rainbow eggs. Thank you for creating the subscription service – The Artisan is perfect for us. We love it!

The eggs from Alora save far past store brand. With the bloom on, you can leave them on the counter top for a week or so, they're so fresh! I loved getting my eggs from Alora all summer long, knowing exactly where they came from.

A bite of Alora's eggs, with their golden yolks and rich depth of flavor, is nothing short of a hearty piece of heaven I love to keep in my kitchen. You can tell the chickens who laid these eggs had happy hearts and bellies.

I eat eggs for breakfast everyday so I make an effort to know where they come from. Yvette has been so kind to provide us with the best. I've grown 4 inches in the last year, I can lift 320 lbs now, and I can remember all the names of the bugs in my backyard. Truly magical experience - 10/10

Frequently asked questions

From the hen's tush to your breakfast dish - who knew eggs had such a cheeky journey to your plate? But before you dive in, let's shell out some tips and tricks to make sure you're egg-stra prepared for the deliciousness ahead!
I've only ever had store-bought eggs. What can I expect with eggs straight from the hen?
When it comes to farm eggs, get ready for a treat! Their yolks are brighter and more vibrant, adding an extra pop of color to your dishes. Plus, you'll notice a delightful difference in texture - straight from the farm eggs can have irregular shapes and sizes, which only adds to their charm. Expect a touch of variety too; farm eggs come in different colors and sizes, reflecting the diversity of the chickens and their diets. And don't be surprised by the occasional imperfection; it's all part of their natural character. When you crack them open, you'll experience real eggs with thicker shells that give a satisfying crack. It's the little things that make farm-fresh eggs a delicious addition to any meal!
Is the yolk a chick?
Nope, that golden orb is the baby chick's buffet! It's the scrumptious meal they munch on the day before busting out of their shell. And guess what? It's so packed with nutrients that it keeps them fueled for up to three days post-hatch.
I see a small red / brown spot on the yolk? What is it? Is it safe?
If you've spotted a small red or brown spot on the yolk, don't worry! It's likely a meat spot or a blood spot, which is harmless. These spots occur due to the rupture of blood vessels during the egg formation process. Rest assured, eggs with these spots are safe to eat. Most of us just pull it out and continue on with our business.
How can I check if an egg is bad using the water float method?
Grab a cup, fill 'er up with water, and gently drop that egg in. If it sinks to the bottom like a well-behaved egg should, you're golden! But if it stands up on one end or starts bobbin' around like it's auditioning for a dance-off, it's still good but might need using soon. Now, if that egg decides it's too cool for school and floats right to the top, well, it's time to bid it farewell and send it on its way to egg heaven.
Should I wash the eggs?
We give our eggs a gentle wash, but we keep that special shield the mama hen gives them – the Bloom. Washing isn't a must, but if you fancy, a quick wipe with a damp paper towel does the trick. Find out more about this tip here.
Egg Safety Tips
For optimal enjoyment of your eggs, it's essential to handle, store, and cook them with care. Here are some crucial egg safety tips to ensure your culinary adventures are both delicious and safe.

1. Wash your hands: Before and after handling eggs, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water to prevent the spread of bacteria.

2. Check for cracks: Before using eggs, inspect them for cracks or any signs of damage. Cracked eggs can harbor bacteria and should be discarded.

3. Store eggs properly: Keep eggs refrigerated at temperatures below 45°F (7°C) to maintain their freshness and reduce the risk of bacterial contamination. Store them in their original carton to protect them from absorbing strong odors and flavors from other foods in the fridge.

4. Use clean utensils: When cracking eggs, use clean utensils and a clean surface to prevent cross-contamination with other foods.

5. Avoid consuming raw or undercooked eggs: To reduce the risk of foodborne illness, avoid consuming raw or undercooked eggs, especially if you are pregnant, elderly, or have a weakened immune system.

6. Cook eggs thoroughly: Cook eggs until both the yolk and the white are firm to kill any harmful bacteria that may be present. This is particularly important for dishes like scrambled eggs, omelets, and quiches.

By following these safety tips, you can minimize the risk of foodborne illness and enjoy farm-fresh eggs safely.
